Non Discrimination Policy

Union Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and other school programs.

 

Admission Policies

Union Christian Academy shall accept students from non-Christian families providing the families are in agreement with the purposes and practices of the school.  It shall be the policy for each teacher to  give a clear presentation of the Gospel to each student during the course of the year and to know where each child in their class stands in regard to his/her relationship to Christ.  It is the desire of Union Christian Academy that every student have a personal relationship with Christ and that the Gospel be made a natural part of the process.

 

Union Christian Academy's biblical role is to work in conjunction with the home to mold students to be Christlike.  On occasion, the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home maybe counter or in opposition to  the biblical lifestyle the school teaches.  This includes, but is not limited to , sexual immorality, homosexual sexual orientation, or the inability to support the moral principles of the school.  In such cases the school reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant, or to discontinue enrollment of a student.

 

Annual Registration Fee

This annual non-refundable fee is required to hold the student’s place in the class.

First child – $150.00

Each Additional Child – $100.00

 

Tuition

Tuition is paid with 11 post-dated checks dated August through June.  Checks may be dated from the 1st through the 15th of each month. 

 

Half-day Pre- School

1st Child – $3,135.00 ($285.00/month)

2nd Child – $3,025.00 ($275.00/month)

 

Elementary

1st Child – $3,685.00 ($335.00/month)

2nd Child – $3,135.00 ($285.00/month)

3rd Child – $2,970.00 ($270.00/month)

 

Junior High and High School

1st Child – $3,960.00 ($360.00/month)

2nd Child – $3,410.00 ($310.00/month)

3rd Child – $3,245.00 ($295.00/month)

 

Building Fee

The tuition schedule above includes a $35 per month per child building fee.  The following two options allow the ability to deduct a portion of your pledge from your taxes.  It does require writing a separate check for your pledge(s), and the personal commitment to your pledge.

(1)  Deduct the building fee from the tuition schedule above and contribute a separate check of $35.00 per month as a tax-deductible pledge to the school.  

(2)    Contribute a one-time, tax-deductible pledge of $385.00.  

 

Book Fees

Preschool – $150.00

Kindergarten – $250.00

1st Grade through 12th Grade – $300.00

 

After-School-Care

After school care is available from 3:45 – 6:00 p.m. for $2.50 per hour per child.  If your child is still at school after 3:45 you will be charged for one hour.

 

Waiting Lists

Each child – $50.00

When a class has reached its capacity, a student must be placed on a waiting list.  If and when an opening occurs, the family will be notified and will have two business days to respond.  The deposit will apply to the registration fee.  If space does not become available the deposit will be refunded within five business days of the start of the new school year.

 

Miscellaneous Fees

A Late Payment Fee of $25.00 is assessed for any outstanding balance over $50.00 if not received by the 15th of each month.

 

A Returned Check Fee of $25.00 is assessed for each check returned for non-sufficient funds.

 

K5 - 11th - Testing Fee $50

K3 - 12th - Technology Fee $25

9th - 12th - Science Lab Fee $50

 

Admission Documents

All of the following materials must be in the school office prior to final admission:

1.  Completed application

2.  Immunization records

3.  Birth certificate

4.  Transcript request form (1st - 12th)

5.  All registration fees and tuition to date

6.  A signed statement of cooperation

Please have your own copies of these materials made before you come to the office. 

K4 students must be 4 years old by September 30.  K5 students must be 5 years old by September 30.  First grade students must be 6 years old by September 30.  No exceptions can be made.
